Admissions to B.A., B.Com and M.Com are as per the current rules and regulations of the Gujarat University- centralized online admissions are conducted according information on website of Gujarat University(www. gujaratuniversity.org.in).

Eligibility for Admission to First Semester B.A.

A student passing the HSC examination conducted by Gujarat State Higher Secondary Board/other Boards recognized by Gujarat University is eligible for admission.

Eligibility for Admission to First Semester B.A. (Home Science)

  • A student passing the HSC examination conducted by Gujarat State Higher Secondary Board/other Boards recognized by Gujarat University is eligible for admission.
  • A student who has cleared XII standard in vocational stream (Home Science).
  • A student who has completed 3 year diploma in Home Science after 10th standard.

Eligibility for Admission to First Semester B Com

A student passing the HSC examination (conducted by Gujarat State Higher Secondary Board /other Boards recognized by Gujarat University) with the following subjects groups

  • Elements of Accounts
  • Business Organization and Management
  • Economics or Business Maths or Statistics is eligible for admission.

At the time of Admission student will have to produce.

  • Original copy of 12th standard mark sheet with a Xeroxed copy thereof.
  • Original School Leaving Certificate with a Xeroxed copy thereof.
  • Eligibility Certificate wherever necessary (A student passing equivalent examination of another board can be admitted if she produces provisional / final eligibility certificate from the Gujarat University).
  • A valid caste certificate (In case of reserved category students) with a Xeroxed copy thereof. Non-creamy layer certificate for SEBC students.
  • Two passport size photographs.

Enrolment

Students who have been admitted to the first semester of any course have to fill and submit the Enrolment Form of the Gujarat University, as per the dates declared and put up on the college notice board. Students will not be permitted to make any changes in subjects etc. without prior permission of the Principal. Failure to fill the form as per dates may result in cancellation of admission and the student will not be able to appear for the Semester examination at the college/university level.

Rules For Students (The vacations will be as per the circulation issued by the Gujarat University.)

  • 1A minimum attendance of 75 % of classes in each term is necessary for keeping term. Any student who has not completed the course of study to the satisfaction of the Principal may not be allowed to appear for examinations..
  • Students wishing to be absent from the college on any day or days must apply for leave in advance to the Principal. Students remaining absent without such proper leave from the college are liable to be penalized.
  • In case of illness, a student must apply for leave, as soon as possible, with a medical certificate attached to the application.
  • In order to keep a term at the college a student must complete, to the satisfaction of the Principal, the course of study including lectures, practicals (Home Science), assignments, seminars at the college as prescribed.
  • Students are required to be present in the college on the appointed day after examination, holiday or vacations. Those who remain absent without sufficient reason are liable to be penalized or removed from the College Roll.
  • Transference Certificate – An Application for transference Certificate must be submitted through the Principal of the College to which the student wishes to be transferred.
  • No objection certificate: Any student who wishes to leave the college has to submit written application to the Principal with valid reason.
  • Students are required to carry their identity card with them at all times and produce it wherever asked.
  • Any damage to college property, books, intentional or incidental shall be liable for penalty.
  • The decision of the Principal in co-ordination with the concerned committee will be final for any offense by the student in matters of discipline, attendance and examination

Examinations and Evaluation

  • There will be one internal test for each paper. Evaluation will take place of projects, seminars and presentations by students. All these and marks for attendance will be considered for calculation of internal marks out of 30 in each paper. University exam will carry 70 marks for each paper.
  • A student is required to appear for all examinations. Prior permission of the Principal is necessary in order to appear for Retest due to extraordinary circumstances. In such cases Retest fees will be charged.
  • A student who is caught copying / cheating in the exam will be asked to leave the examination and marked ‘0’ in the paper. No Retest will be permitted for the same. Gujarat University rules will be followed for those caught cheating in examinations.
